Muay Thai, sometimes referred to as "Thai boxing", is a martial art and combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the "art of eight limbs" as it is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the late-20th to 21st century, when Westernised practitioners from Thailand began competing in kickboxing and mixed-rules matches as well as matches under Muay Thai rules around the world. The professional league is governed by The Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (P.A.T), sanctioned by The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT).

KICK BOXING
Kickboxing is a stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate mixed with boxing. It is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport. Japanese kickboxing originated in the late 1950s, with competitions held since then. American kickboxing originated in the 1970s and was brought to prominence in September 1974, when the Professional Karate Association (PKA) held the first World Championships. Historically, kickboxing can be considered a hybrid martial art formed from the combination of elements of various traditional styles. This approach became increasingly popular since the 1970s, and since the 1990s, kickboxing has contributed to the emergence of mixed martial arts via further hybridization with ground fighting techniques from Brazilian jiu-jitsu and folk wrestling.

KIDS 6 - 9
Children have everything to learn in this world. To be a child and be able to play to the fullest, to discover themselves, their potentials and their imperfections, the bounderies between who they are and the world outside, the discipline of working on a goal or being the hero they dream of. In a playful way we are mixing this with Kick boxing as the field where all these aspects are represented.

KIDS 9 - 12

Teenagers from this level pretty know what they want to do and we are following the stream om their development through the further development of their body and mind. Kicks and hits on various levels and various boxing bags are used, as well as pads and adversaries to train with.

LADIES ONLY
Kickboxing, like any other martial arts, is one of the most complete sports you can imagine. Both your mental (self-) awareness, coordination, focus, reflexes,... as well as your physical (cardio, strength, flexibility and motor skills) are on the menu time after time. An excellent way for fat burning, cardio and keeping up the shape.

Tue. & Thur. 19:00 - 21:00

ADULTS
You have to start somewhere, don't you!? Why not here? If you think you can't, well, that is just a thought and doesn't bring you anywhere. Let's get to it! Warming up, getting the basic punches and kicks in a very clear progression integrated, working on your first variations and feel how you start to transform, how you get more confident. Because now you can!

TRAINING
If you are a more experienced Kick Boxer and want to have a training facility close by, well, this might be the solution. Opening hours will be determined by the needs, the number and the frequency of the members that want to train. Ask and we'll see what is possible.
